It’s unusual for this to be a separate scanner most good antivirus products include adware cleaners, but they’re usually built into the main anti-malware engine - this is the case with top competitors like Avira and TotalAV, which have some of the best adware removal tools on the market. While MacKeeper is a good antivirus program that comes with a lot of useful features that work well, it’s missing some important features - it doesn’t offer any anti-phishing protection, which I would consider an essential security feature these days.
